Creek Restoration

When we moved to this property in 1994, we inherited a creek that is made out of concrete. It is not until 2005 I found out how concrete affects our ECO system and wildlife.

I met a wonderful group of people at Acterra who have done a big creek restoration project in Portola Valley. With the help from folks at Acterra, I was able to restore the creek to its nature state. The jute netting is made out of 100% natural coconut. The banks are seeded with native grass seeds and planted with native plants.
